What's New

Message from the board chairwoman:

I wanted to take a moment to advise the community that we are closely following news and updates about the coronavirus (COVID-19).  Here at the NCSPCA, our priority is and always has been, the safety and well-being of our animals, staff and the public.  We are committed to implementing additional precautions and standards to help prevent the spread of this virus. At this time, we are closed to the public until further notice. Please call the shelter regarding any adoptions or surrenders and speak with our shelter manager, Pam Rock.  She can be reached at (518) 873.5000.  We also ask that you refrain from dropping off any donated items for the time being.  We appreciate your cooperation and continued support.

Featured Pet

Carmen & Cocoa

Carmen and Cocoa came to the shelter as a bonded pair and we’d really like them to go together. Cocoa is friendly and outgoing, while Carmen is very shy. Cocoa always wants to be pet, he’s quite the love-bug. Carmen stays back and tends to hide behind Cocoa, but she can be wooed with treats. When in their own home, we’re sure Carmen will be more comfortable and outgoing.

Featured Pet

Welcome to the North Country SPCA, located in Elizabethtown, NY. We are a no-kill shelter that cares for cats and dogs who have been surrendered, abandoned, or abused. Our goal is to ensure that each animal gets a second chance — and sometimes a first chance — at a loving home.

We need your help! Adopt, donate and get involved. We depend on the generosity of people like you to keep our doors open.
