PLEASE REMEMBER: Should you come across a stray dog, you must call the Dog Control Officer for that town. Please visit our Who To Call page listed under Animal Cruelty on this website or call that Town Office. Dog Control Officers are trained to safely transport dogs and may even know something about the dog that you have found. We do our best to keep the list updated but names and phone numbers change frequently.   
 
Please note that we are CLOSED on MONDAYS. Also, please be aware that we do not routinely respond to Facebook messages or petfinder inquiries. To reach us in an efficient manner, please call us at 518-873-5000 during our regular hours or send an email. We get very busy with the daily shelter routine but will return your call or respond to your email as soon as we are able to. Thank you.

Alice needs a home!

Alice arrived at the shelter after her owner passed away. She is 10 years-old. Alice came in very overweight and we worked to get her to a healthier weight. Alice is very sweet and enjoys her walks and her time spent outside with the staff. A quiet home would be ideal for this sweet girl to live out her golden years. Please call the shelter to learn more about her.
