NCSPCA Surrendering a Pet

Sometimes circumstances arise that make it necessary to re-home or surrender your pet. We know that the decision to do so is a difficult one. We do take in animals who have been surrendered by their owners, but there is a wait list.

We are a no-kill shelter, which means we never have to euthanize an animal for a lack of space. In order to ensure that we can properly care for all the animals at the shelter, we have to manage our intake and utilize a wait list.

We understand that there are sometimes mitigating circumstances when surrendering an animal and we want to work with you to find the best possible outcome. For more information about surrendering a pet or our wait list, please contact Pam Rock, our shelter manager, at 518-873-5000 or info@ncspca.org.
