We are the only SPCA shelter in Essex County. And contrary to popular belief we receive no money from the state or federal government. Adoption fees and town contracts provide only 15% of our income; 85% of our funding comes from private donors like you. Won't you please give generously so we can continue to be there when an animal needs us?

The North Country SPCA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

NCSPCA MEMORIAL FUNDS

The Anne Trachtenberg Hughes Healthy Cats & Dogs Fund supports the veterinary costs to maintain the wellness of our animals.  It is named in honor of Anne Trachtenberg Hughes, a former Board Member, who died tragically in a car crash in January, 2004. 

The Farnsworth Spay/Neuter Memorial Fund provides for the spaying and neutering of shelter animals.  The fund honors former Westport residents Kathryn Farnsworth and her mother Carol.
