NCSPCA Becoming a Foster Parent

We need volunteers to mentor our shelter animals to get them ready for family life!

If you have an hour to spare, how about working with one of our dogs on "sit" and "stay?" Or simply take a nice, relaxing walk down to the lake. Are you more of a cat lover? Our cats always love some play time and grooming.

If you have an afternoon to spare, how about a nice hike along one of the many nearby trails? Just like people, our dogs love getting out in the woods and spending time in the fresh air - especially with dog lovers like you!

If you have room in your home and your heart, how about fostering a dog and showing him/her the joys of family life? A few weeks in a home and out of the shelter can really make a difference in their lives, and turn a dog into a canine good citizen who can be readily adopted into a loving forever home.

An hour, a day, a weekend, or a month - our animals truly appreciate any amount of time you can spend with them. If you are interested in becoming a foster family for one of our wonderful dogs or cats, please call our shelter manager, Pam Rock, at 518.873.5000 or email the shelter at info@ncspca.org.
